UV protection for the body
The EU Commission for Health recommends the repeated application of SPF 12-25 during the day. The day-long protection with SPF 50 is not given. The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health agrees with this opinion. Protection is optimal from SPF 15 and is only slightly increased by higher protection factors. Unfortunately, deceptive security of a high factor often leads to sunburn. Please see the graphic below. This shows that the protection from SPF 15 is slightly higher (94.4% vs.98%). And not 3x higher than expected.
